Meet the Provider

Dr. Uche Umejei is a dual Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner. She has vast experience with Military Veterans in Residential Substance Abuse and Mental Health. Dr. Umejei is a seasoned Nurse Practitioner with experience of over 20 years.

She has experience in taking care of a variety of mental health disorders including ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), anxiety, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She approaches her care with compassion, and she has exhibits strong communication skills. Dr. Umejei received her nursing practice doctorate degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia and her PMHNP from University of New Hampshire. She completed her Master’s of Science degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) at Hampton University.

She holds numerous certifications including American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental health nurse practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently licensed in Virginia.
